It is a set of ideas and concepts that constitute a line of thought, which is based on the triad Orthodontics | TMJ | Occlusion. With this, it aims to achieve lower biological cost for the patient, shorter treatment time and long-term stability. Treatments are performed based on high-precision 3D diagnosis.
Currently, Ertty Systems, through its specialists and modular courses, is present in 17 Brazilian states and 7 countries. In August 2017, the 1st Master of Orthodontics Ertty Systems began at São Leopoldo Mandic College, Campinas-SP, with the participation of 43 students. In 2020, in addition to the 2nd Class of the master’s degree, the specialization course in orthodontics and temporomandibular dysfunction and the doctorate by the same faculty are open.
The Ertty System courses focus on four priorities:
- The first is three-dimensional tomographic craniofacial diagnosis.
- The second is to apply the principles of optimal occlusion and the concepts of functional orthopedics (bone remodeling) to fixed orthodontics.
- The third is skeletal anchorage with miniplates, which helps make orthodontic movements quick and with minimal side effects.
- The fourth is the creation of advanced mechanics that promote simultaneous bone remodeling in the three space planes (anteroposterior, transverse and vertical), solving complex cases.
Thus, the courses range from teaching functional orthopedic treatments to highly complex treatments (miniplates and orthognathic surgery), with a lower rate of exodontia, which minimizes the complexity of orthognathic surgery in adults and reduces the possibility of future post-treatment orthognathic surgery in adolescents. This treatment method is stable in the long term because it provides dental, muscular, bone and joint (ATM) balance.
